Plot

One day, while riding the train home from work, Takemichi gets caught up in a dispute between two gangs and ends up getting pushed onto the tracks, where he is promptly run over by an oncoming train. As he lies on the ground dying, Takemichi is visited by a man named Michiko Tachikawa—the woman he loves—who has traveled back in time from the future to save him. Michiko tells Takemichi that he needs to go back in time and save her from being killed by the Tokyo Manji Gang so that she can have a happy life. With that, Takemichi is sent back in time to his middle school days, where he sets out to change the course of history.
