B. Riley Financial (RILY) reported late Monday financial results for Q1, with earnings that declined from the prior-year period even as revenue improved 81.1% year over year..

The diversified provider of financial and business advisory services posted adjusted earnings of $0.32 per share, compared with the prior-year period’s $0.39 per share.

Revenue was $95.8 million, up from $52.9 million in the same quarter last year.

No analysts’ estimates were available for comparison.

The company expects Q2 net income in the range of $5.4 million – $10.0 million and adjusted EBITDA to be in the range of $22 million – $30 million.
