21st Century Fox Names Lachlan Murdoch as CEO of New Fox After Disney Deal

Twenty-First Century Fox (FOX), an owner of portfolios of cable, broadcast, film, pay television and satellite assets, said Wednesday that its executive chairman Lachlan Murdoch will serve as the chairman and chief executive officer of the proposed new Fox company upon closing of the transaction between 21st Century Fox and The Walt Disney Company (DIS).

Rupert Murdoch will also serve as co-chairman, and John Nallen, currently 21st Century Fox CFO, will serve as chief operating officer of the new Fox.

21st Century Fox is selling its film and television assets to Walt Disney.

Shares were marginally higher before midday.
